Servants of Hell—wizards, witches, and warlocks—live far closer to ordinary people than anyone might suspect. Rather than cloaking themselves in darkness, they blend seamlessly into society, leading seemingly normal lives while endlessly waiting for the perfect opportunity to usher demons into the human world. That unassuming classmate sitting quietly behind you could very well be one of them. Naomi is a high school student buckling under the pressure of upcoming exams. Her studies are faltering, and the constant demands of caring for her newborn brother have left her exhausted, stressed, and entirely unable to concentrate. It is during this desperate moment that Jack steps into her life, offering a dark solution by introducing her to a demon named Nebiros. The terms are chillingly simple: Nebiros will grant her the power she needs to pass her exams, but his price is a human soul. Horrified by the bargain, Naomi initially refuses to make the deal. However, Jack leans in and whispers a sinister suggestion that changes everything. He proposes that she doesn't need to sacrifice herself—she can offer up her infant brother instead.
