Sawamura Matsugorou was a shamisen player of legendary talent, and his passing leaves a profound void in the life of his grandson, Sawamura Setsu. Deeply connected to his grandfather's music, Setsu finds that his own ability to play vanishes alongside the man who inspired him. Stripped of the beloved sound that once defined his world, the young musician journeys to Tokyo, hoping to discover a new voice that can reignite his passion for the instrument. In the bustling city, Setsu crosses paths with Tachiki Yuna, an employee at a local club who arranges for him to perform as a warm-up act. Taking the stage once more, Setsu channels his complex emotions into every note he plays. Rather than simply replicating the past, he pours his shifting thoughts and feelings about the people around him into the strings of his shamisen. Through these performances, he continues his deeply personal quest, searching not only for a unique sound to call his own but also for a clearer understanding of his own heart.
