Tsutsumi Hajime and Kaiya Makiko are rapidly ascending as the brightest stars in singles figure skating, achieving ever-greater triumphs on the competitive circuit. Yet, despite their mounting success, both skaters share a lingering sorrow over the absence of their close friend and fiercest rival, Kurokawa Mitsugu. A devastating accident on the rink left him psychologically shattered, stripping away his ability to skate. Despite countless pleas and invitations from those who care about him, Kurokawa has remained entirely withdrawn from the sport he once loved. Everything shifts during an exhibition gala when an unnamed young girl spontaneously takes the ice without prior announcement. Her captivating, unscripted performance draws immediate attention and unexpectedly reaches Kurokawa, stirring a long-dormant yearning within him to feel the blade against the ice once more. Set against the demanding and thrilling backdrop of professional figure skating, Ai no Aranjuez is a classic story of personal growth, emotional recovery, and dramatic rivalry.
