DECA-DENCE

Long after the sudden appearance of mysterious creatures known as Gadoll pushed humanity to the edge of extinction, the surviving population has taken refuge within Deca-dence, a colossal mobile fortress standing three thousand meters tall. This towering stronghold was constructed specifically to shield mankind from the relentless alien threat. Within its walls, society is strictly divided into two distinct classes: the Gears, elite warriors who battle the Gadoll on a daily basis, and the Tankers, civilians who lack the combat abilities required to join the fight. Natsume is a young Tanker who harbors an unwavering ambition to become a Gear, despite the limitations imposed upon her by society. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she crosses paths with Kaburagi, a cynical armor repairman working within the fortress. Where Natsume remains fiercely optimistic and refuses to abandon her aspirations, Kaburagi is a hardened realist who has long since surrendered his own hopes. Yet, this unlikely encounter between two individuals with fundamentally opposing worldviews sets into motion a chain of events destined to alter the fate of their entire world.
