Boku no Oshi wo BL Sekai kara Mamoritai

Mahiro is a socially awkward college student and devoted male fan of boys' love manga who harbors a secret admiration for his strikingly handsome classmate, Kido. With looks seemingly pulled straight from the pages of a romance comic, Kido already appears to have someone he cares for deeply. Everything changes when Mahiro impulsively throws himself in front of an oncoming truck to save Kido, resulting in both of them being struck. When they finally open their eyes, Mahiro quickly realizes something is profoundly wrong with their surroundings. The world they have awakened in operates entirely on boys' love logic, with romantic tropes and dramatic scenarios unfolding at every turn. Trapped alongside his ultimate crush in a reality overflowing with familiar genre conventions, Mahiro makes it his personal mission to protect Kido from the relentless narrative forces trying to push him into a cliché romance. Yet, as he fights against the absurd events constantly threatening to sweep Kido away, the emotional distance between the two begins to naturally close. This romantic comedy follows the endearing dynamic between a cool, effortlessly attractive young man and a flustered enthusiast struggling to keep his favorite person safe while navigating a world determined to turn their lives into fiction.
