Agape

The metropolitan police maintain an elite squad of negotiators dedicated to defusing high-stakes hostage situations and reasoning with violent criminals. The unit’s two most accomplished operatives possess extensive field experience and a profound understanding of human psychology, yet they recognize a critical gap in their approach. To truly excel, they believe the team requires someone capable of agape—an unconditional, selfless love for all humanity. Such an individual would naturally establish deep rapport with even the most dangerous offenders, making them the ultimate crisis negotiator. Rather than finding this rare quality within the ranks of law enforcement, the veteran officers discover it in an entirely unexpected candidate: a teenage girl named Haruka. Despite her youth and lack of police background, she embodies the very essence of compassion they have been searching for. Now, the seasoned negotiators face a daunting challenge of their own. They must convince an ordinary teenager to step into a world of violence and desperation, persuading her to lend her extraordinary gift to the police force before the next crisis strikes.
