Another standout narrative, "Kentai" (Dedicated Body), centers on Dr. Shibusawa, who decides his young son Keiri must begin studying medicine early if he is to inherit the family clinic. Despite his wife's strong disapproval, the doctor introduces Keiri to the fascinating world of dissection. As the boy develops an unexpected taste for the practice, Shibusawa's marriage deteriorates under the strain.
