In the year UC 0153, the Zanscare Empire has risen to power in the space colonies of Side 2, holding its grip through brutal means, including the use of the guillotine. With its forces invading Earth and its space fleets poised to conquer the other Sides, the Zanscare Empire is virtually unopposed by the weakened Earth Federation. The only resistance is the League Militaire, whose cutting-edge mobile suits and young pilots form the backbone of the opposition. Thirteen-year-old Uso Ewin finds himself drawn into the conflict when a battle erupts in his hometown in Eastern Europe. As the pilot of the advanced Victory Gundam, Ewin must not only fight against the Zanscare Empire but also seek to uncover the fate of his parents, who abandoned him on Earth when they went into space.
