Eto Kai might appear to be an unassuming young man, but beneath that innocent exterior lies a brutal alter ego and a shadowy history he can’t outrun. As the newest investigator for the Greater Kanto Narcotics Control Division, Kai is paired with his stoic partner, Hal Kurabayashi, and tasked with dismantling the distribution network of Dragon Speed—a potent and dangerous new synthetic drug. Their target is Ryugen, a syndicate so tightly sealed that infiltration seems nearly impossible. Caught between escalating street violence and a turf battle with the Meguro Police, Kai finds himself staring down a future filled with exhausting, perilous days on the job.
