Kimi ga Shinanai Hi no Gohan

When they were children, Semimaru and Mika shared an ordinary, easy friendship—until the day a traffic accident left Mika in a coma, her world falling silent while life carried on around her. Years pass, and then, without warning, Mika returns to Semimaru's side. She appears before him in what can only be described as a spirit form, a fleeting presence caught somewhere between life and death. With her time seemingly running short, she confides in him a simple yet heartfelt wish: before she dies, she wants to taste something truly delicious one last time. There is just one problem. Semimaru has never been any good at cooking. Faced with a request that carries the weight of a lifetime—and perhaps a final farewell—he must somehow summon the skill to prepare a meal worthy of his dear friend's last wish, even with untalented hands and no gift for the kitchen.
