Kimi to Sakura no Hanataba wo

The job listing seemed almost too good to be true—ten thousand yen an hour for private tutoring, a rate that could make any university student’s head spin. For Reo, a newly minted student at Japan’s most elite institution, Teito University, the opportunity arrives as a stroke of fortune. But the moment he steps into the lavish study room and comes face-to-face with his new pupil, he understands exactly why the pay is so astronomical. His client is none other than Yukina Hoshi, the former chart-topping idol whose face once dominated every billboard in the country. Her request is deceptively simple: coach her through the rigorous entrance exams for medical school. The challenge, however, proves to be anything but simple. Despite her radiant confidence and flawless stage presence, Yukina’s grasp of basic academics is alarmingly fragile—her proficiency barely scrapes the surface of middle school curriculum, let alone the advanced science and mathematics required for a medical track. Reo finds himself navigating a bizarre paradox, trying to bridge an impossible gap while the clock ticks down toward exam season. Yet the strangest variable in this equation isn't her academic deficit; it's the quiet, unspoken tension that hums between them. As Reo dedicates himself to transforming this hopeless case into a viable candidate for med school, he cannot ignore the viral sensation currently sweeping social media—Yukina’s powerful voice and charismatic covers are taking the internet by storm, reminding everyone of the star she once was. But beneath the glowing screens and relentless practice sessions lies a tangled history they share, a past connection that neither of them has been willing to address. With her future hanging in the balance and old wounds threatening to resurface, Reo must decide whether he is merely a tutor fulfilling a contract—or someone who holds the key to unlocking more than just her academic potential.
