Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - One-Winged Butterfly

This second collection of six tales by Aya Yajima delves into the untold moments and hidden hearts of the Demon Slayer Corps. In the title story, "One-Winged Butterfly," the tragic past of the Kouchou sisters is laid bare, revealing the pivotal events that steered Kanae and Shinobu toward their paths as demon slayers. Shifting to a lighter tone, "A Proper Hot Spring Recommendation" finds Tengen Uzui tempting a reluctant Zenitsu with the promise of a mixed-gender bath, spurring him to drag an unwilling Inosuke along in a frantic race to complete his training. "Mitsuri Kanroji's Secret" explores the Love Hashira's inner turmoil upon learning Shinobu's true motive for joining the Corps; feeling selfish in comparison, she withdraws from her peers, prompting Obanai and Shinobu to conspire on how to lift her spirits. The quiet interlude "Before and After a Dream" offers a reflective day at the Butterfly Estate with Genya, who grapples with lingering thoughts of his older brother. "To You Who Never Laugh" brings the Hashira together in a rare, endearing mission: to coax a smile from the stoic Giyu Tomioka. Finally, the collection closes with a charming, alternate-universe short set in the Kimetsu Gakuen, where the beloved cast transforms into modern students busily preparing for their upcoming school festival.
