Summary

Official Details
The clamor of a furious thunderstorm does little to mask the unease gripping Hyrule's royal hall. On that tempestuous night, Princess Zelda and the shrine maidens sense a growing darkness in the air—a foreboding that points to one terrifying truth: the ancient seal confining the sorcerer Vaati is dangerously close to breaking. In a desperate bid to avert catastrophe, Zelda summons the young hero Link to her side, charging him with the protection of herself and the maidens as they perform the sacred ritual to open the gateway to the Four Sword Sanctuary. Yet the moment the portal materializes, it does not bring salvation—it unleashes a sinister, shadowy replica of the hero himself. This doppelganger, Shadow Link, moves with ruthless efficiency, capturing the shrine maidens and imprisoning them within unbreakable crystals before vanishing back into the sanctuary. Refusing to abandon the kidnapped priestesses, Link pursues the dark copy into the heart of the sanctuary, where the legendary Four Sword awaits. Wielding this mythical blade, which possesses the extraordinary power to divide its bearer into four distinct copies, Link engages his twisted reflection in a desperate bid to free the maidens and quell the rising evil. However, the act of drawing the sacred weapon proves to be a double-edged victory. While it grants Link the means to confront Shadow Link, it inadvertently completes what the weakening seal began—fully liberating the demon Vaati from his ages-long imprisonment. With the wind mage once again unleashed upon the land, the peaceful kingdom is thrown into chaos, leaving Link and his newfound reflections as the only line of defense against a sorcerer driven by boundless malice.
