Unable to form meaningful connections with her peers, high school student Ai Mamina has withdrawn from social life and begun skipping classes entirely. Concerned about her prolonged absence, her homeroom teacher, Mr. Kawagoe, pays a personal visit to her home to intervene. Rather than resorting to conventional disciplinary measures, he proposes an unconventional solution: spending the upcoming weekend together in secret, not as teacher and student, but as if they were both ordinary high school students. This tentative arrangement is intended to help Mamina rediscover the joys of youth and eventually encourage her return to the classroom.
