Utawarerumono

In a world shrouded in mystery, a masked hero named Hakuoro emerges, his past and true identity unknown even to himself. After being gravely injured and left for dead in a forest, he is rescued by a kind young girl named Eruruu, who nurses him back to health. As he recovers, Hakuoro finds himself in a barren land plagued by strange creatures, an angry god seeking vengeance, and an oppressive government that slaughters the innocent. With a bloody war looming on the horizon, Hakuoro must come to terms with his uncertain future and the expectations of the people who have chosen him as their leader. As he navigates this treacherous landscape, Hakuoro must also confront the memories that elude him, and decide whether he can unlock the secrets of his past and liberate the people who have come to rely on him, or remain a stranger even to himself.
