Bungo Stray Dogs: Osamu Dazai's Entrance Exam

Doppo Kunikida prides himself on being a straitlaced idealist and a dependable investigator for the Armed Detective Agency, an elite group that tackles perilous assignments beyond the capability of the local police. Until now, Kunikida has meticulously orchestrated every facet of his personal and professional life according to plan. However, his structured world is suddenly upended when he is assigned to mentor the agency's newest recruit: Osamu Dazai, an eccentric, deeply suspicious individual whose eccentricities are overshadowed only by his constant, alarming obsession with suicide. What begins as a routine assignment quickly spirals into a dangerous labyrinth far more complex than Kunikida ever anticipated. As the mismatched duo delves deeper into the investigation, ominous signs emerge pointing to the involvement of the Port Mafia, the agency’s ruthless sworn enemy. Set two years before the events of the primary manga series, this compelling narrative chronicles the origins of an unlikely alliance, capturing how two diametrically opposed personalities forged a legendary partnership to become one of Yokohama's most formidable detective duos.
