Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend

The revelation stuns the audience when the true identity of the wildly popular yet mysterious internet singer, Touko Kirishima, is unmasked as the nation’s beloved actress, Mai Sakurajima, prompting an eruption of excitement. This exact scenario mirrors a dream Sakuta Azusagawa experienced on Christmas Eve. Triggered by Mai’s shocking April Fool's confession, a series of impossible events—phenomena once thought to exist only in dreams—begin to unfold back-to-back. At the same time, the trending social media hashtag "#Yumemiru," associated with dreams becoming reality, abruptly vanishes from the web. As Sakuta struggles to reconcile the tangible reality before him with his own perceptions, he receives an unsettling message sent by an alternate-reality version of himself. The directive is clear: stop Touko Kirishima before reality is completely rewritten. Determined to undo these distortions and restore the world to its original state, Sakuta sets out on a mission to track down Touko Kirishima, facing another profound test of overcoming the mysterious Adolescent Syndrome.
