Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out

Following an emotionally exhausting December, Sakuta is rapidly approaching the conclusion of his second year of high school. With his girlfriend Mai now a third-year student, the couple faces the bittersweet reality that their time together in the same school will soon end once graduation arrives. Amid this looming transition, Sakuta’s younger sister, Kaede, has been making remarkable progress, slowly and steadily building the confidence to step outside the house again. Just as she begins to find her footing in the world beyond her home, Kaede reveals her most ambitious aspiration yet: she wants to enroll at her brother’s high school. Understanding better than anyone the immense psychological hurdles this goal entails, Sakuta immediately resolves to support her through every challenge along the way. He dedicates himself entirely to helping her prepare for this daunting new chapter. Yet beneath his unwavering dedication, a quiet uncertainty lingers. As he watches Kaede push herself toward this demanding objective, Sakuta finds himself questioning whether attending his school is truly the best path for her well-being. He must confront a difficult dilemma, wondering if this dream genuinely reflects what Kaede desires for herself or if it is merely a wish born from her deep attachment to him.
