Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid

As March arrives with only a month remaining in the third term, Sakuta Azusagawa prepares to celebrate the graduation of his girlfriend, Mai Sakurajima. While waiting for her at Shichirigahama beach, he encounters a young girl who bears an uncanny resemblance to Mai during her early days as a child actress. Left pondering this mysterious meeting, Sakuta is soon interrupted by a phone call from his father that shifts his focus entirely. The call reveals that their mother, who has been hospitalized for an extended period after struggling to cope with what happened to Kaede, now wishes to see her daughter again. Determined to fulfill her request, Sakuta resolves to reunite with his mother face-to-face for the first time in years. Despite his resolve, he finds it impossible to suppress his deep anxiety over the impending encounter. As the emotional weight of the situation mounts, unfamiliar scars begin to manifest across Sakuta’s body. These sudden, unexplained marks raise a troubling question: could they be the warning signs of an entirely new manifestation of puberty syndrome?
