Zenonzard: THE ANIMATION

In the year 20XX, the world is captivated by ZENONZARD, a revolutionary card battle game where human players known as Concodes form partnerships with ultra-high-performance artificial intelligences called Codeman. These duos compete together in intense matches, and the global phenomenon has reached a fever pitch with the arrival of THE ZENON, the highly anticipated world championship tournament that has fans everywhere buzzing with excitement. Amid this craze, Souta Azuma lives a quiet life as an ordinary high school student with no particular ambitions in the competitive scene. His routine is abruptly shattered when he is challenged to a duel by Eilietta Lash, a mysterious woman who soon reveals her true nature: she is actually a Codeman. Her ultimate goal is to form a buddy partnership with Souta so they can enter THE ZENON together. Though initially hesitant, Souta reluctantly agrees to join forces with her, thrusting himself into a world far beyond his everyday experience. Their partnership is tested almost immediately when their very first opponent turns out to be none other than Shion Saionji, a massively famous player who happens to attend Souta’s own school. Accompanied by her formidable buddy, Ash Claude, Shion presents a daunting challenge that forces Souta and Eilietta to prove their worth right from the start.
