Fushigi na Melmo's story begins with the tragic loss of her mother in a traffic accident, leaving Melmo and her younger brother Totoo alone. Despite her passing, Melmo's mother finds a way to communicate with her from beyond the grave and requests that God provide them with magical candies. These extraordinary sweets come in two forms: a blue candy that allows Melmo to instantly age ten years and transform into any adult she desires, and a red candy that reverses the process, making her ten years younger again. With this incredible gift, Melmo assumes various roles, from a nurse to a policewoman, each time using her newfound abilities to help her brother Totoo navigate the challenges they face together.
