Majo no Ie: Ellen no Nikki

Seven-year-old Ellen longs to play outside like any other child, but a lifelong illness confines her to her room. Determined not to burden her parents, she endures her isolation in silence until tragedy strikes and they abandon her entirely. Left with nowhere to go, she encounters a mysterious cat who presents an irresistible bargain: a safe haven in exchange for becoming a witch. When Ellen awakens in her new home, she is overjoyed to find her sickness gone. Yet this newfound health comes with a cruel condition—she can never step outside, as leaving the house will instantly restore her frailty. Though initially disheartened by her confinement, Ellen’s hope is rekindled when the cat offers to teach her a spell capable of curing her permanently. The price, however, is steep: she must feed him human souls. While a young girl's desire for a healthy body may seem innocent, fulfilling it demands a terrible cost.
