The Melancholic Conman

Operating an odd job agency is rarely a safe profession, but for Yisin, it becomes a matter of life and death after he helps a mob boss’s lover escape with her partner's money. The consequences are swift and severe. Director Yoon, a ruthless subordinate of the betrayed crime lord, corners Yisin with an ultimatum: track down the missing woman and return her, or face execution. Rather than accept this impossible task, Yisin chooses to flee entirely, seeking refuge in the sprawling metropolis of Seoul. He pins his survival on the city's underworld dynamics, believing that the presence of Hyeonkyeong—a powerful rival mobster—will serve as an impenetrable shield against Director Yoon's reach. However, Yisin’s desperate gamble proves fatally miscalculated. Instead of deterring his pursuers, his relocation only accelerates the inevitable collision with his past. As old sins begin to surface in his new surroundings, Yisin uncovers a chilling truth: Director Yoon’s relentless pursuit is not merely about retrieving stolen funds. It is driven by a dark, vengeful obsession far more personal and dangerous than Yisin ever could have imagined.
